Omega Seiki e-3-Wheeler to Fire Up Mobile Kitchen Business

BANGALORE – Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) has announced its entry in the lucrative mobile kitchen business with the launch of ‘Meals on Wheels’ e-three wheeler. The company said as part of this business, it will provide completely equipped mobile kitchen electric vehicles to start the food truck business instantly.

• Omega Seiki Mobility, which is a pioneer in creating revolutionary sustainable vehicles, has launched yet another Industry first innovative three-wheeler electric Vehicle, Omega Seiki Mobility MOV (Meals on Wheels) in India priced at INR 7 lakh (about US$8,467, ex-showroom, New Delhi post Govt. Subsidy). The vehicle was launched at the 4th State of the art dealership opening in Bangalore on 2 November 2022. • OSM MOV is an electric three-wheeler which will be available in Fast and Fixed battery options. Booking of the OSM MOV has started at OSM Dealerships for the booking amount of INR 19,999 [US$242] and the vehicle deliveries will start from January 2023.
• “We have already received interests from over 500 customers for Meals on Wheels (MOV). Our new offering will change the face of the food truck business. The mobile kitchen business in India has a huge potential as it is in its nascent stage. In India, it is estimated to be growing at 8.4 per cent annually,” said Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman, OSM.
• The company said it has also introduced a mobile kitchen incubator and employment programme for tier-II and tier-III regions to train aspiring entrepreneurs on such vehicles.
• “The programme aims at helping aspiring entrepreneurs learn about the business and gain the skills needed to operate and own a mobile kitchen electric vehicle,” Narang added.
